i had a friend like that once, we ended up going our seperate ways. as a friend, you should remind her that your always going to be there for her, and you have to let her learn lessons on her own. Keep an eye on her, and make sure she always lets you know where she is. most girls do stupid things because of an emotional problem that they dont kno how to deal with, so they just get drunk to try and numb the pain. her parents should sit her down and talk to her, she should be able to tell her parents anything. Every girl at her age experiments, remind her that. shes not the only one going threw these problems. talk to that guy, and tell him to back the "F" off, and to know who hes messing with. its a hard time in her life, but dont feel like you have to be her mother, be her friend, and be there for her, keep an eye on her, and im sure in the end everything will turn out ok. she will realize its a stupid thing to do, and there are other solutions to her problems then running away .

If you don't fell comfortable telling her parents you could try to find organizations that could help her. She's probably not going to listen to you if she has her mind made up. You might also see if you find examples of what happens to teen runaways and show her. Especially female runaways. Try telling her if things really are that bad they can only get better and explain to her the pain it would cause all her loved ones. If none of that works you should at least tell an adult you (and possibly she) trust. She's only 16 and has a lot of time to change things and make decisions about her life.

You should tell her to work things out with her parents. At least she is not being kicked out of the house. She's lucky her parents dont kick her to the curb. She should be smart not to go for some 15 yr old. She's got her whole life ahead of her. What if she gets pregnant? Do you think her parents would take her back then....i dont think so.

Tell her parents, tell the cops and have her arrested or put under house arrest.
Sounds to me like your friend has some authority issues that need to be worked out by a professional. All you can do is tell somone, a councilor, her parents, a teacher, or another adult. You yourself is not going to be able to stop her. You may think you have, but it is not going to work.

Good luck !! I see this so much as I deal with juvenile court. The police will find you, time can be spent in jail. She could be placed with DHS and/or a foster home. Nothing good can come from what she is wanting to do. She needs to make the choices. Sadly, she will most likely learn the hard hard ways of the cold society waiting on her.

damn that chick did everything parents don't want!!!!!!!
well try talking to her. Tell her that runnning away is not the answer. i don't think she'll get arrested since she's 16. if she doesn't listen to you your going to have to tell someone about it. I mean u really don't want her screwing up her life do. And if her parents are anything like mine i'm sure they will forgive her. Good luck with this dilema. wish you the best

Tell your parents to explain to her parents what is going on. You are being a good friend for being concerned and God forbid something bad was to happen to her in the streets. Don't be afraid if she gets mad a t you, she will thank you in the long run =)

Not sure how to persuade her not to run away, but if she starts running now she will run from her problems all her life. If she faces the music her parents will surely be upset, but she may be surprised at how forgiving they can be. Especially if she really wants to get back on track.

wow, this maybe something way beyond your control. just tell her what a good friend she has been to you and you'd like to still have her around. let her know how she's changed and the bad habits she's picked up - sex, weed, alcohol. ask her what happened to the old friend. you may not be able to save her but its worth a try.

tell her she's a horses *** and to get a grip. She needs to face the music for acting like a little punk. She's 16 and if she thinks she knows it all, take it from me, she doesn't know crap.
