They have black ureathane foam at the garden centers now for just that use, but the regular spray can foam will get a coat of alge, dirt, crap on it real quick and oly show if nicked. and this stuff sticks like S%$t to a blanket, is cheap and won't kill your fish when cured. Just don't be too liberal with the application, it will get bigger than you expect. POND ON, DUDE!

sure, just make sure that you rinse it several times after it dries
and don't let that water get in your pond ( or drain you pond after you rinse the waterfall off )
