Bear the burden means to carry it. This is the correct saying. However, if you were going to "bare the burden" I guess you'd be opening it up for all to see and there would be a second meaning for the same type phrase made up by you.

You bear the burden, that means you carry the load. The word bare means without covering or clothes, striped. Some said bair, there is no such word in Websters Dictionary or People word finder.
