Any screen can be used as an effective monitor if you have the proper RCA connections, usually you need a standard monitor too.

I simply changed my graphics card, and added another monitor..Its awesome.. anyone can do this procedure to.. its very very simple...you can click and drag from screen to screen set it up neway u want..the card was 79 bucks and whatever u wanna use for the 2nd monitor..Just thought you might like to hear another idea... good luck..

any thing with the VGA connector. just dont get plasma, because when the same image is sent to a plasma for a long time, the pixels burn out. vga connectors are only like $10.

try samsung. lcd screens. read the details and make sure it say it has a vga connection.
