well...
it depends on what she likes/wants of course.
What I'm asking for for my birthday are a pair of stripper shoes so i can walk around the house in them and play for the intended purpose of course. :)
He's a lot taller than me, and i'm excited to be 4 or 5 inches taller.

another good gift i've received in the past, is a wholesale-sized 100 count package of my favorite candy bar, Snickers. That ROCKED!

A trip to the zoo is nice...with dinner...

a nice- homemade dinner with wine and candles is sweet...and maybe you can throw in a not-to expensive trinket or pendant...or decorative item that gurls like. :)

Don't get her flowers, that's too blah and boring. Think back, did you ever see her really looking at something in a window? Or telling you about a childhood memory that was important to her? Try to get something with meaning that reminds her of something from her childhood, or something that has to do with something from your relationship, like your first date or something. Or take her to the park with a picnic that you prepared, it doesn't have to be fancy, and give her a small necklace. It doesn't have to be expensive, just pretty.

P.S.- And instead of buying her a card, make one. No, not with the computer. Out of paper, just like you did when you were a kid. Write something really nice, or even make up a silly little "roses are red" type of poem. That will mean a lot more to her than any store-bought card.

I am going with jewelry as well. But, it takes some effort to match the STYLE of the jewelry to the STYLE of the girl. If you are like me and leave around jewelry with lots of chicks you get some GREAT PRACTICE for when you do in fact have a girlfriend.

I like necklaces best, and if you are on a budget you should go with silver probably. Some girls seem to fit better with silver and some seem to fit better with gold. I ran into this really strange one who seemed to go best with WHITE GOLD. That was a complicated purchase, but I was in a Third World nation where I could pay half price for it. What a weirdo, but I love her till death and beyond. Who matches WHITE GOLD? Who matches WHITE GOLD? It is usually either yellow gold or silver. But, she has a heart of gold and the complexion that matches silver.

The truth is girls at 22 appreciate gifts from the heart. Give her something tasteful albeit small and wrap it in a nice box. Put that box in another box a little bit bigger and wrap it. Put that in a another box a little bit bigger and so on and so forth until you have a great big present. On the card write, "I wish I could give you the world but love is all I've got." Love and hugs!

I think you need to be creative and spend time making something for her that is romantic with your hands
Example-Cut out little hearts make a path threw your house leading to a room with a single flower with rose pedals spread around a box with a dress in it telling her in short note to meet you some place you think is romantic and then go from there

If you have a photo of you and she, take it to your local art gallery (ask your photagrapher if you don't know any) and have an artist make it into a painting. I had one done and it only cost $45.00 (It would be even better if you have an artist friend) And of course flowers are always a hit but if you go that route, try PICKING wild flowers yourself and tell her you saw them and they made you think of her. Top it off by cooking her favorite meal for her!

you can always do something realy special and go to a tiffany&co. shop and get her a nice necklace but... those necklaces are not cheap its only if u truly still love her and dont mind spending 100-500$$ on her lol or you can take her somewhere that means alot to you and her like where you had your first kiss or where you first met.

Jewelery. Something that comes in a matching set, such as a ring, earrings and a necklace. That way, you're covered as far as birthdays for a few years.
