washing in hot will shrink them a little if thats what you want to do, washing the new ones in hot might get the loose dye out so you dont have to worry about next time. conversly, washing them in cold will help them not fade so fast, they wont shrink as much, soooooh what is it you want them to do?

You could wash it in cold water because if you wash it in hot water the color of each jean will mix.

Cold water keeps your color in your jeans longer. Hot water causes the jeans to bleed.

Warm water wash and cold water rinse. Hot water will make them shrink. So will a hot dryer.
