My top 3 are pretty much interchangeable, but here's my order:
1. Larry Johnson
2. Shaun Alexander
3. Ladanian Tomlinson
I always go RB in the first round and my top 3 are a no-brainer - they are simply a cut above everyone else.
4. Clinton Portis - workhorse for the Skins who have improved offensively - expect 1500 yard season
5. Tiki Barber - conceivably #4; I always wonder how he does it, but he does - could push the 2,000 total yard mark again. He does lose some TD opportunities on the goal line though.
6. Edgerrin James - no reason to think he won't continue to produce, but he'd be the clear #4 if he was still in Indy.
Honorable Mention:
Steven Jackson - poised for a breakout year now that that clown Martz is gone - he had no idea what he had there in Jackson.
Rudi Johnson - consistent producer on a winning team; does lose some carries to Chris Perry though
Lamont Jordan - can run and is a great pass-catcher out of the backfield - Oakland is so bad though, he can be gameplanned against
Ronnie Brown - this could be his breakout year as well - will he be able to handle the #1 workload?

If the league is like most others scoringwise, the top six are:
1) Shaun Alexander - He's still the best. He may not get 1800 yards and 27 TD's again, but he'll be solid week in and week out.
2) Larry Johnson - Losing Willie Roaf and Al Saunders cost him the #1 slot, but he has too much potential to be held down.
3) LaDanian Tomlinson - He's still a beast, even with a rookie QB
4) Clinton Portis - Will thrive under Al Saunders in DC
5) Tiki Barber - A bit old, but was fairly consistent. The potential downside is he doesn't see a lot of Red Zone carries.
6) Steven Jackson - St. Louis will be running the ball more, and Jackson can grind it out with the best.

1. Larry Johnson - may go for 2,000 yards!!!
2. LaDainian Tomlinson - most talented of all RBs
3. Shaun Alexander - TD record holder and league MVP
4. Clinton Portis - always great and better with new coordinator Al Saunders
5. Tiki Barber - Giants' rising offense will get them in the red-zone where Tiki will work some magic
6. Peyton Manning - Hey it's the middle of the round without the best RBs left. Manning will get you 30 TDs and around 4,000 yards. Take hime here and then go for Ronnie Brown later.

You must have a 1st rate running back to win at fantasy football; a great running back can get you over 20 ponts a game. Larry Johnson (KC) got me 30 points in a game once. Draft a good kicker too. Kickers on teams that have trouble scoring TD's are great for FG points -- David Akers (PHIL) is tops on my list.
Defenses cna be picked up easily off the waiver wire; last year I took any defense for the week they played New Orleans or San Francisco and made many points that way.
My top 6 by position are:
RB -- Shawn Alexander (SEA)
Rudy Johnson (CIN)
Kicker -- David Akers
QB -- Payton Manning
WR -- Chad Johnson (CIN)
TE -- Antonio Gates

Peyton Manning, he'll put up big numbers.
Terrel Owens, he's out to prove something.
Bears Defense, best in the league.
Edgerrin James, should get most yards by RB this year.
Marvin Harrison, look who throws to him.
