i usually download my song from limewire and put them onto my ipod, but latley everytime i try to download i get a pop up to a website to buy songs, not the song i'm trying to download but just to by songs in general. or if i'm lucky enought and it does download its protected with something and i cant put it onto my ipod. its just started happening these past few weeks, this just happens with newer song and not the ones that came out last year or later. Whats happening is there some new law now that says even if youve paid for a service like limewire you still cant download any more. If so that so sucks..i hate buy cd cause theres usually only like 3 or 4 songs that i like on the cd. is there any way to over ride it.

Go to options menu. Under filtering, hit ignore .htm/.html files. I think that works.

Limewire isn't a pay for download service, you pay for the program not for the downloads (it is illegal regardless). People are tired of people pirating and putting out false files to annoy you to go buy the music (like you should be doing, if you can afford a f*cking iPod).

It's not a virus that's causing it. Try not to download those entries that say 'sponsored result' or have 348 users offering the file. Those, like someone else said, are actually html files.

You have a virus, otherwise known as a hijacker, it will hijack your IE or Mozilla and take you to there page, you need Virus protection, but other than that id just re format the HD

Why not get songs from other P2Ps like below, out of these three I might select SHAREAZA better.

BTW, do you have antivirus like ANTIVIR to guard yourself of possible virus?
