im on my pieriod and i am suposed to go to a swimming party. im too young to use a tampon and im afraid that im goimg too humiliate myself. what should i do?????

You are not too young to use a tampon. You just need to have your period. That's all. Using a tampon on your first time is scary but once you start using more and more it's really easy and fast. I won't post step by step how to use it so i suggest go to beinggirl.com for instructions on how to do it. If you feel you still need help when trying it then ask your mom or a friend. I would start out with Tampax Pearl Plastic because the plastic slides in easily. Also, make sure you buy the lowest tampon absorbency for your flow. You don't want to use a super plus on a light day.

Why are you too young to use a tampon? Ok, I'm not saying to go against your parents if they don't want you to wear them. But if you are having your periods, you usually are old enough.
Oh by the way, I like Tampax Pearl the best. Most other brands, I can't wear that very well. You want to use the regular or the juniours. You will want to change it every four hours. And you are not supposed to feel them. If you feel them, you didn't put them in far enough. But don't worry, just practice, and you'll be fine.

There is no such thing as too young to use a tampon.
But if you are like I was, you will want to get a box of the smallest size tampon you can find and get into a bathroom where no one will knock on the door for a while, read the directions carefully, and just practice putting them in.
It took me a while but I mastered it :)

Try using a small tampon, you could go but not swimming at a swimming party may be a little weird. So my suggestion is to not go, or use a tampon!

Your not too young to use a tampon! Just use a slim fit tampon. Thats the only way to go swimming without you bleeding through your suit. If you dont wanna wear that them just wear regular clothes.

I am 13..i don't know how old u are..but i thought the same thing..its alright..i was terrified...i tried tampons my last period ...and i am still using them...they work great...i use plastic applicators..adn use slimfits..they work great..just stay calm..relax and it will be alright...i would not want to miss an awesome fun swim party just because i have my period..i think u will regret it..trust me...just try them and u will thank me..lol

go to the party, just don't go swimming. And if people ask why your not wearing a bathing suite or swimming, give them an honest answer, I have my periods, its a logical answer. People tend to shut up then and go on having a good time.

go and have fun you don't need to go in the water .just tell your friend that your not up to swimming but just want to hang out and get some sun have your period is normal nothing to be ashamed about....

I used to be like that. Get playtex plastic, the really skinny kind. You'll figure it out. It's worth learning how to now.
