California may the attractions, the scenery, the weather, and the excitement, but living there isn't exactly cheap. I live in Las Vegas where new neighborhoods are being built everyday to accept our newest residents. Downside: the heat in the summer is unbearable.

East Coast: too humid. the summer weather personally drives me crazy.

personally i would say a big city in the midwest is the best idea. cause then you get all the excitement and convenience with great, bearable weather and not soooo much overpopulation.

Wherever you want the best place to be. No matter what city you go to, there will still be the same thing. Stupid people, jerks, some good people, the only thing that changes is the scenery. And I'm sorry, but California is probably the worst, not best place to live. It's so overpriced and overhyped it's not even funny. So, if you like mountains, move to Colorado, Utah, Seattle, Charlotte, Tennessee, etc. If you like beaches, move to the coast. If you like boring, move anywhere in the midwest. People are the same wherever you go, only the land changes.

I would have to say anywhere in the NORTHEAST (like the above poster right above mine). East cost weather kicks butt because you get a taste of every season and they are well balanced. On the East coast (near the beach) is the only place where every beach has a boardwalk and there are no "dangerous" rocks or cliffs near the ocean. I live in Pennsylvania, which is a lot of farm land in CERTAIN areas, but for the most part it's a great place to live because there is still big cities and it's very easily accesible to many other things if you need to drive for a vacation. I love living in PA. *CALIFORNIA IS WAY, WAY, WAY OVERATED.

California has 4 seasons- the windy season, the mud-slide season, the fire season and the earthquake season. Other than that, the climate is rather agreeable. I like the variety of the North East though- real snow in the winter, real summer weather without (usually) getting too hot, nice green spring, beautiful colors in the fall... Maine is probably my favorite... you get the best of everything: mountains, beaches, foliage, cities (although none as bustling as New York or Boston) shopping, small towns... it is quite nice.

Virginia Beach has everything California has that is fun, and the houses are 200,000 less than CA! There is a great sense of community here too. They even make lots of movies and commericals here. Free beach music. Tons of Concerts. Lots of beach and water fun. Lots of Healthy activities to do. It rarely ever snows here. We rarely ever get hit by the hurricanes. They have Comedy clubs with Real comedians! like Wayans, Hughley...etc. I just love it here. Pharrel Williams was in town today at Planet Music signing autographs. Missy Elliot is from Portsmouth(next town over). This is THEE place to be! I just LOVE it here. Best of Luck!

The USA is a big place. What kind of place are you looking for? Big, small, cold climate, warm climate, ocean, mountains....and there are lots of nice places besides just California.

California weather is awesome but with houses costing over $500,000, you can't afford one unless you bought it 20 years ago.

Las Vegas has lots to do but is blazing hot in the summer.

Florida weather was nice except for the occasional hurricane. People there were a bit strange I thought.

there's no "earthquake" season in california. they happen all of the time. i'm from oklahoma....yeah i know. not much to do here...and NO I'M NOT A FARMER....AND NEVER HAVE BEEN OR EVER WILL BE....i prefer florida...beaches, lakes, nighlife, just about whatever you want to do...hurricanes aren't all that common every year...some times there are more than others...but there are definately more nice places to live other than california...
