a. 25, every other number is a square that is 1 number less. 36, .., 25,.., 16 ect.

b. 31 Every other number is a multiple of 8 minus 1, the multiple is 2 factors less than the previous. 73 is 72/8 = 9 and 56/8 = 7; therefore, 8*4 = 32 minus 1 = 31

c. 2588 . Starting with 1820, every other number is 384 more.

Wish I could help - these are very difficult. I think bluedoggy needs to show me more terms in the series because I don't follow his reasoning - I'm not saying he's not right - I just don't get them. Did you have any examples worked out in a text? If you had something to follow, site them in details

WOW Sean, you're a genius

Good luck
