There was a guy in our town who was drunk and unruly who was tasered resulting in his death. Unknown to anyone, he had a heart problem. The deputy continued to tas him until he finally stopped fighting. The reason he stopped fighting was because he was dying.

The deputy was fired, and is in the process of being charged for the death of the man. It seems the deputy just kept his finger on the trigger, sending multiple shocks into the man's body instead of pausing to see if the man stopped fighting. He did not follow procedure, and he caused the man's death.

The man didn't die because of being tased. He died because of being overtased. If the taser had been used correctly, the man probably would have lived.
