Why do you think people express their thoughts with bad words? i think it's mean!?

who made up bad words and why???

Bad words are all part of language. They are not truly Bad but are reconised expressions. We have learned to be insulted by them and thy have become conditioned to believe that they are bad.

Bad words change over time. When Houdini called snake oil salesmen "Cads" he was using the strongest language of the day. (About the same as if he called them F___ing scam artists)

People tend to use foul language to convey extremes of emotion. Pass the butter has a different emotional connotation than Pass the ____ing butter. You're only adding one word, but it's understood that the person is being less polite, wants the butter more urgently, and has less respect for the person who posesses the butter.

That's why people tend to use it more here than they would in normal conversation. It's very difficult to convey emotion when you can't see the person or hear how they speak.

People who cannot express themselves are ignorant and/or attention seekers. Many don't want to use the brains God gave them to express themselves in a civilized manner. They want, and receive, plenty of attention for their foul and dirty mouths. At least here we can report them and they may be suspended for a while. It's important that we speak up, intelligently and politely, making it clear that foul language is unacceptable.

its silly that only certain words have been deemed "bad"...you really have to wonder how someone just sat down and said, "****" is going to be bad word - for no other reason - it's just bad. as "bad" as they may be, it's sometime the easiest and most convenient way to show emotion about a situation
