Yes, lots of times if you engage in a demanding physical activity out in the sun, and your body is not well-hydrated, you might be dehydrated and not even know it. That is, you won't know it until you become very sick from it. I've seen a bunch of guys at training who insisted on not drinking up before they went out. End result was they said they weren't thirsty still, then started dry heaving, heating up, stomach pains, etc. Yeah, it's not just "thirst"

Absoultely, I read somewhere that by the time you actually feel thirsty you have lost a lot of water that your body really needs. And yes, you might feel tired, sleepy, or weak and you might simply need some H2O!

Absolutely. When I was with the Boy Scouts, and we took kids to the mountains, we had to monitor them all the time. Due to the altitude or something, they would get so dry their lips would turn black, yet they would swear they weren't thirsty. We had to nag them, and explain and explain they needed to drink lots of water, and would get sick if they didn't, but that because of the altitude, they would not feel thirsty.

yeah u can because u sweat all the water off frm ur body and not always do u have to be thirsty i was once dehydrated and i was forced to drink water i kept yelling to the doctors that i m not thirsty!!!!!!!!

yes..sometimes you body doesnt remind you. the body can give you signs like sleepiness, drosiness ect.

u dont have to be thirsty to be dehydrated...ur skin can be thirsty......or maybe your eyes need water cuz they are dried out...

Yeah, duh! And you can have other symptoms that can be confuzed with other illnesses. You can feel weak and tired like you have a fever or something.
