While it may be normal to have cramping, it is not okay to have cramping followed by a lot of bleeding. Most likely you are having cramping because of the diarrhea. How long have you had these symptoms? Are you also vomiting? You may have eaten something that didn't agree with you. When I got pregnant, before I knew I was pregnant, I drank alcohol. My body must have rejected it to protect the baby because I got very sick. I didn't drink after the episode and soon found out that I was pregnant. You should see a doctor and be sure to write down any other symptoms you have. This way you can be sure to tell the doctor what is wrong. If you are unsure of seeing a doctor, you should at least call one.

How far along are you? Getting bad cramps isn't normal. It also don't mean that anything is 100% wrong. Cramps can be a signal for miscarriage, but I'm not sure about the diarrhea. If I was you I would call my doctor. I miscarried 2 months ago at 20 weeks. This is far after the "risky period." It was devastating, I found out after a routine ultrasound found no heartbeat. As I thought back, I did have a horrible cramp during the night 2 weeks before. I attributed it to bowels. Turns out I might have been wrong. Call the doctor.

You best bet is to call up your OBGYN and let him/her know what's going on. Chances are it's nothing, but sometimes cramps can mean something else. When in doubt, ask. That's what they are there for.

Gosh, I pray that your diarrhea is a sign that i may be pregnant. I'm trying and 39 days without a period. But i've told myself i was going to wait until this sunday to test- like my doctor said. However, I had really bad diarrhea today?! good luck to you. and please pray for me.

you need to see a doctor. I had really bad morning sickness, sometimes i would feel faint, and vomit all the time, then my doctor prescribed me a pill that took the nausea away, but wouldn't hurt the baby

I never had bad cramps or anything other then normal "dia"...How far along are you? I'd get it checked? any bleeding? maybe it's not the pregnancy...something you ate? Go to the ER if it's bad...or your doc's if they're still open....

I had very similar issues when I was pregnant-and it lasted throughout the pregnancy-however-everyone reacts to pregnancy and pregnancy hormones differently. Ask your OB-GYN if there is any need to be concerned, and if not, welcome to the next nine months :)

It may just be the surge of hormones in your body, but call your doctors office just in case it is something more.
