My period normally is around the 20th of every month. Well in June it was around the 10th. By July 10th I hadn't had my period so I decided to wait until the 20th to take a test. I took a test and got a positive. Two days later I started spotting. After that about five days later I started bleeding, around the 27th. Which would have made my period really late if that's even what it was. I only bled for about 5 days like I normally do. Is this normal for your first month of pregnancy?

Check with a doctor but my wife had two full periods during our second childs pregnacy. We thought she lost the baby twice. You may have to take hormones or something. Best thing check with the doctor.

Test again to make sure it's still positive. If it is you may want to go to the doctor. Bleeding that is like a normal period is not really normal during pregnancy. Light spotting at the early stage is and is usally called implantation spotting. Something more may indicate a problem. If it is negative, well then you probably didn't implant and your body purged whatever was there. You should go to the doc to make sure that you don't have anything left in there to cause a problem in a month.

This is commonly refered to as "bleeding through". This can be caused by several factors, such as stress or the amount or hormone in your body. Some women will spot throughout an entire pregnancy, and in others it is a sign of trouble. There is also the issue of whether or not the pregnancy test was accurate. The only way to know is to speak with an OB-GYN, confirm the pregnancy, and take it from there. Please, always keep in mind that most of the people here are not doctors, and for something as serious as this, it's always best to check with a professional.

There is a good chance you had an early miscarriage - so early our mothers and grandmothers would never have known of a pregnancy.

Check with your doctor, quite likely he/she will want to do a vaginal ultrasound to confirm (too soon for "normal" ultra sound). No point in doing a pregnancy test, it will show positive for awhile after a miscarriage.

My periods are not very regular, but with my first baby, I sid not know I was pregnant for 3 months, because I had periods (light) and spotted. I would definitely consult your doc though

My first pregnancy was similar to your situation, your best bet is to go to a doctor's office or clinic and have them do the urine test. Sometimes home pregnancy tests are not that reliable. Hope this helps.

It can be absolutley nothing and everything might be fine, but they say you should see a doctor if there's any bleeding just to be on the safe side. Good luck and congratulations.

It sounds like you had a really early miscarriage.

Check in with your doc if you are still spotting or not feeling well.

All kinds of weird things can happen when you're pregnant, but regardless of whether this is "normal" or not, you need to go see your doctor immediately and tell him/her what you have told us. Don't take any chances.

No, it is not normal at all. Chances are that the bleeding your experienced was a miscarriage and that you are no longer pregnant.
