I have a Dynex wireless optical, newly reinstalled with updated driver. It freezes for 2-3 seconds every 2-3 seconds. It's driving me insane since I keep dying in my games, and when surfing. Someone plz help.

did it work before you installed the driver?
I have a wireless mouse too. when it acts up it usually is the battery but the computer should alert you that the battery is getting low. I assume that you tried changing the battery?
the next thing to check is the receiver. is it too far away from the mouse? is there something blocking the receiver?
finally, any kind of radio waves will interfere with the wireless transmission. we're talking about wireless phones, battery chargers, power cords, etc. My old wireless mouse froze up all the time too, it was Targus brand -- it kept losing the connection between the mouse and the receiver. I eventually chucked it and went back to a corded mouse for my laptop -- on my other computer I have an HP wireless mouse and it works well but the batteries only last 2 weeks before they need changing. Good luck

Your mouse uses a radio Frequency to communicate to the wireless controller on the back of your computer.
Cellular phones , Wireless Home phones, and Wireless Internet adapters along with wireless routers interfer with the mouses operation.
The best cure for this is to just get a coreded mouse and be done with it.
That's what did becasue I got tired of having to turn everything off so my mouse would work.

Probably a corrupt video driver.

The video driver is a set of instructions that tells the screen what to display. If the driver is older, it may not be able to keep up with the latest software demands.

To find out, RIGHT CLICK the MY COMPUTER icon. Select PROPERTIES. For most versions of Windows, click the tab marked DEVICE MANAGER. (For Windows XP, click the tab marked HARDWARE, and then the button marked DEVICE MANAGER.)

Scroll down the list until you see VIDE ADAPTER. Click the plus sign next to it. A new line of text will appear. Click that line of text. Click the tab marked DRIVER. Check the date.

Next, go to the website where your video adapter was made (www.radeon.com , www.s3.com , etc) and locate the latest driver they have available for download. Compare the date with your adaptor.

If theirs is newer, download and install it.

OK, if the battery thing doesn't help, take a look at what is running on your computer. It is possible that it is a program or programs that are running in the background and chewing up all your memory which can cause you to temporarily lock up. Look in task manager at the memory usage and at running processes that are overwhelming the processor.

i strongly advise u to:
switch the xamitorinthum 2000 to a 3000
replace the clicker-modulateor with a diverion-traxvor
try 40 mph clicking on the trasmonytoy button
add a gredtuvios-layuntuige to the mouse
push the 786 triangular-adcertaviourous

i'm not kidding, it works every time.

if its a mouse with a ball on the bottom, than open up the bottom of the mouse. normall you have to twist it. than take out the ball, and you will see that their are two spinning wheels that spin around..possibly black in color. you'll also notice it probably has lent on it and some other dirty stuff. clean that off with the tip of a pen and put the ball back in and twist the cap back on. your mouse was probably just not working because of that. It is probably dirty. I don't think you'll need knew batteries and I don't think its a problem with your computer or mouse. Probably just dirty. That happens to mine and I just pop the cap off by twisting it and taking out the ball and cleaning out the spinning wheels.
