The Jews use the bible to call themselves the chosen people yet I believe God loves all mankind equally. How can the Jews be the chosen people when they kill innocent people in Lebanon in the name of defending themselves against attack?

Before you make an ignorant statement about something you know so little about, perhaps you ought to read the Bible and find out why it says they are the chosen people and why they are fighting. Whe nyou have made that effort come back and reask the question. Don't flaunt your ignorance.

It speaks of the roles the Jews and the Muslims play and the various other powers of the world.

The jews were and still are Gods chosen people - read the old testement. They still are, although they have not accepted the teachings of Jesus as being from God.
If you think whats going on now is bad.. the jews wiped out entire societies in order to enter the promised land, on the instruction of God. At the time, that was the way things were.

Jews are no longer considered God's special chosen people. Jesus died for all, both Jew and Gentile. Unfortunately most Jews chose not to follow him, so God rejects those who reject him. God loves us all equally, regardless of our race. But now is the time of the new convanant and anyone who rejects the son doesn't have eternal life, only eternal punishment.
You may want to read the books of Romans and Hebrews for further insight.

I agree with you completely. The jewish tradition dictates that all prophets of the one true god were jewis, including Jesus, who they do not believe in. It is this thought amongst the jews that have bestowed them with the"chosen people" title they hold to such high value.
But today the Israeli's and most of the jewish community can not trace their ancenstry back to the original peoples of Israel.
I like the Islamic religion becasue in the Quran it says that God has made prophets from amongst every tribe, meaning that all races of people have had prophets. This message in itself dictates that all are equal in the eyes of God, with no preference given to just 1 race of people.

The Bible does refer to the Israelites as God's chosen people, but they're still human and make mistakes.

Everyone thinks their group is the best and is chosen. EXP. The United States and Manifest Destiny. England trying to make the world English thru colonisation. Christians trying to convert everyone to Christianity and so on and so forth.

That is a really good point you make, maybe they say this because Juedisim is one of the oldest religions in the history of this earth and managed to survive... or maybe its the fact that the jewish people have faced many hardships and managed to survive them all. Or maybe it was that no jewish people were killed when the world trade center was destroyed.

I think God chose the Israel people because they were the first tribe He came across when he first arrived on earth.
BTW, the Jews are NOT killing innocent people, the Lebanese people and their elected government have found it in their hearts to grant succor to the Islamo-facists who attacked Israel.... Can't you get your facts straight, it is easy, open your eyes.

God loves all people, The Jewish people are that "CHOSEN" people because God sent his only son to live among them.
