i am developing an Executive Information System..i am now designing the interface..i have list of reports from the organization..i just wanted to know how i can classified information and filter information according only to what is needed by the Top-level executives.

The exact type of information and its presentation depends somewhat on the type of business, but the key thing is to summarize, and highlight the essentials. They will mainly want to know how's it doing and who's in charge.

Include means to quickly compare different programs/products/customers etc. to spot winners and losers. Data over time is needed to spot trends. Present data in both graphical and tabular form.
