Ok, fold both of the thin side parts into the middle. It helps to lay it flat to do this. Open the top two flaps to cover baby's bottom and lay baby on diaper. Pull the front up and secure the back flaps to the front with a safety pin. Go here for pics--- http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/howto.htm

I hope your husband is back by now, but wanted to chime in that jilldaniel is exactly right. Do NOT fold into a triangle, that is going to fall right off. I'm a veteran cloth diaper-er, and her directions are perfect. Also, if you don't have some kind of cover for the diaper to keep it on, you can use a large Ziploc (if your baby is a nb), cut holes in the sides and put it on so the cloth dipe doesn't leak. Not the best solution but in a pinch, ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

Fold it into a triangle. Actually if it is big enough then lay it out diamond shape and fold the top down and the 2 sides inwards and the bottom fold enough so it will make a band at his waist and won't be a point. Just wrap it around him diaper like and pin it together in the middle or on each side. Rubber pants over it, it will hold it together for a bit if you don't have pins.

LOL...form an "upside down" triangle and put the baby so you can pull the middle up towards her privates and the other 2 sides across the front; try to attach all three together...tape? Only if the baby won't eat it...I'm sure you don't have a diaper pin around and you can't staple it....good luck! Yea, that's it!!! Wrap the tape all the way around the diaper...

the burp clothes are usually long and thing. lay him on it pull the front up and then pull the back sides in and fasion with a diaper pin. I used cloth diapers a lot when mine were little only 4 years ago espcially in the summer when it was so hot. It cut down on diaper rash

Well it would help if I knew the sex of the baby as there is a different way for each. Since girls wee goes to the back of a nappy and boys goes to the front.

The standard one is to fold the cloth into a triangle shape. lie the baby on the cloth and pull the three points of the triangle in and pin it together.

There are loads of websites to help you do the different folds.
Just google it.
