Anybody can find a subject or event thats not in there?

Is it a good thing to have an enclopedia where the world is the author and editor?

Menstrual Activism is one I know isn't in there...a few menstrual activists have discussed making such an entry, but it is hard to write without going too in depth into the reasons why menstrual activism exists. I'd like to think of myself as one of the better known menstrual activists around, but even I would struggle explaining the topic without a bucket load of history, politics, health, environmentalism, sociology, psychology, etc.

….I'm rambling…

Neo-wicca isn't in Wikipedia either, which is very odd considering how large a religious grouping Neo-wicca actually is. A search redirects to the entry on Wicca, which granted most of their information is actually more about Neo-wicca or the idea that they are two in the same, not specifically about Wicca, which is a little disappointing to say the least.

Wikipedia isn't perfect but it is seriously close!

I think for the most part it is a great idea, however subjects and topics where the majority of people are ignorant about the subject at hand or have certain attitudes towards a certain subject due to social ideas it does make it hard to insure information is reliable.

I tried finding info on ferro-resonance (electrical engineering concept) and came up with nothing on Wikipedia. That's why I asked here and got pointed in the right direction; score one for Yahoo Answers.

And I agree with one other answer that it is just an encyclopedia, and thus only gives a broad overview of a topic. Albeit, this encyclopedia also has a much wider range of topics than any other encyclopedia I have encountered.

It's only limited by the knowledge other people put in. So no, whatever someone knows it also has the potential to know, but if that person with the knowledge doesnt share it then Wiki wont know.

For examply, Wiki doesnt know my shoe size :P

There are plenty of songs by extremely famous artists that are never mentioned. Also, wikipedia only scratches the surface of most topics.
