usually babies dont start eating solid foods until they are 6 months old, and as long as they are eating and shalowing the food okay, it should be okay also.

give em seconds food. my son had second foods before he even had all the first foods. just stick with the single ingrediant ones for awhile, then you can start on the mixed ones. i say go for it. i know a baby that was 4 months old eating the mixed meat 2nd foods. crazy parents if you ask me but the baby turned out fine. good luck!

if you have gone thru all the stage 1's a couple times---and no allergies--it probably is ok. especially if you are just talking about the bigger jars. our pedi just told us to introduce them between 6-8 months with the stage 2's, and to start yogurts and meat around that time as well---this was also because my son was showing no reactions or allergies. so--read the labels...watch for reactions---and maybe wait for the ones with meat/dairy and mixed til they are a little older. not that they can't eat it...more for digestion.

from a mother of four. the slower you introduce new foods the less likely your baby will suffer from (and it is suffering) colic. also you may avoid allergies later as the babes grow up.

http://www.gerber.com/feedingplan - this site might help you. I printed the feeding plans and post it in our refrigerator door, and it serves as a guide for me in feeding my 10 month old baby girl..
