Ok mate, here goes.

The British Cabinet

1) We have one 'Cabinet', which is made up of the heads of Ministries. These ministries are in charge o the day to day running of their areas, ie, Defence, Home, Foreign Affairs etc. Each Minister sits at the cabinet table, and works directly with the Prime Minister, or First Among Equals

2) I believe the Prime Minister himself decids the schedule

3) Some members included Margaret Beckett (Foreign), John Reid (Home), Alan Johnson (Education, i believe..)

4) Each Ministry is run by the Civil Service, who are themselves experts in their field of work. The British Civil Service is among one of the best in the world, so we're quite lucky in that way!

5) NGO'S are often allowed to add their thoughts to the early process of legislation drafting, normally at the White Paper stage, or First Draft.

6) The ideas and drive behind the Cabinet originate from the leading parties Manifesto, and from the Prime Ministers direction

7) The Ministries all have their own websites open to public use, as well as closed intranet systems

Does this help at all friend?

Thats hard to answer because in the U.S. the Nazi facists are in charge so discussing the cabinet is really senseless.

I pull the little handle, the door swings open, I take out what I need and I push it closed again (usually).
