They are the same, they are both sketch comedy shows. Different styles but the same concept. And SNL has been around a lot longer than Mad TV. I enjoy them both. But I think SNL is better.

I think Mad TV has a different brand of comedy than Saturday Night Live...plus, its not live

Because Mad TV Is WAAAAy Funnier Then Snl.

At first i thought they were. with time mad tv has had more outragious skits than snl they also go out on a further limb than snl. ithink mad tv is far better than snl. eventhough snl is a classic

No, I think they are competing with SNL, but I find that they are often funnier the SNL - at least in the first few years. Lately not as good.
