He plays on the fears of the american public . He uses the fear of another 9/11 . He calls you unamerican and aiding the enemy if you diagree with his actions. He uses his religious beliefs and the far right as a weapon against those who diagree even if it would be better for the american people, but most of all he is well handled by the people in the background.

I believe the answer is somewhat explained within the book, "What's the Matter With Kansas". If you have some time, I would highly recommend it. It explains why people buy into manipulation and persuasion, even if it means voting against their best interest. I believe a lot of it has to do with ignorance, meaning many people don't really take the time to educatate and inform themselves and others about the real issues, and about where candidates really stand, nor do they take the time to be involved in local, state and/or federal politics. Instead, they buy into the ideas sold to us through negative ads, and repeated rhetoric.
Furthermore, I do not agree with your sentiment "down with Israel", instead I hope for a peaceful resolution among the nations and peoples of the Middle East, and feel this can best be obtained through diplomacy, education, and communication, and not conflict and hatred which only perpetuates the problems.

Because his brother's the governor of Florida, and his buddies run Ohio.
In the 2004 election, the exit polls showed Kerry winning by a significant margin in Ohio, but the published results indicated Bush was the winner. Interestingly, exit polls are considered so reliable that in the past, the UN has actually taken military action (or rather, encouraged the member states to send their troops on a piece-keeping mission) to overturn elections in which there was a significant discrepancy between exit polls and published results.
Also, in the 2004 election, in addition to the insufficient numbers of voting machines in heavily Democratic districts in Ohio. The number of people who were unable to vote due to the long lines (yes, they stay open until everyone votes, but not everyone is physically able to stand in line for two hours, or financially able to miss that much work) exceeded the number of votes by which Bush won in that state. There were also numerous reports of absentee ballots that were not received. The voters who did not receive absentee ballots were almost exclusively Democrats.
