The only thing you have to worry about is that You need to buy a 2.5" harddrive.. which is the standard size for the labtop.
For brands.. I see alot of people saying western digital.. seagate.. and on and on..
but really, itz just luck.
I have bought/ used/ seen 100+ harddrives in my life..
WD, Seagate, hitachi, memorex.. whatever they are
itz really the same.
I had a seagate hard that I used for 15+ months
and also had a seagate harddrive that went only for 2 months.
So don't worry about what brands..
just worry about how your going to back up your important files just incase the harddrive fails/burns and etc.
good luck!

Seagate makes the best HDDs (they last a long time (warranty is generally 5 years)).

A 2,5 inch drive with the biggest buffer you can afford. Also dont buy Hitachi 'deskstar' (known as deathstar in the trade!!)

yes. when you're buying a laptop make sure it's 2.5', not 3.5'. 3.5' only fit in desktops. as for brands, seagate is the most commonly used among computer makers.

The moderns ones don't differ that much anymore.
The size and the ram buffer is important.
