Hello guys I'm a WASP guy and my wife is jewish. When we go on vacation to Mexico the people always try to speak in spanish with my wife because she has black hair and brown eyes and then they supposed she is mexican. But when for some reason they try to talk with me they do it in English because I'm blonde.
Then my question is: why the jewish pretend to be white when they have a tan skin color?
LOL!

First of all, ask your wife this disrespectful question and see how she answers. Second of all, there are different shades of white, brown, yellow, red, etc. What does it matter what color someone's skin is in accordance with how they "act". They're just being who they feel like on the inside. Third, what has this question to do with the Higher Education category?

Jews were granted "whiteness" by American society after World War II. Same with Eastern Europeans and before that, the Irish.

Mainly because their values, language, and customs are closer to "white people" than many other societies with darker skinned people.

You also assume that all Jews are Semetic. Many are not, having Russian, Eastern European, German, even Spanish heritage!
