Why does our government think???

Why is it that our governing body in America feels like we have the right to tell other countries what they should do and how to do it, and if they don't do it our way, well we will just send our military (composed of our YOUNG men and women) in and fight over what OUR government thinks is right for THEIR country??? We are terribly close in starting a problem with Iran... With Castro on his possible death bed, we are now sending in our military to wrestle power from the temporary government, and tell them how things should be run ... when is the government going to see that they DON'T have the right to put us ALL at risk of destruction, and being condemned as Americans, whether now, or 50 years from now when our grandchildren are fighting this war that we waged??? (sorry, i needed a little vent time)

You are way off base and totally unrealistic. You clearly don't understand the world picture. Take a look at Africa if you want to see what happens when the USA takes a more hands off approach. By your plans, we should have let Hitler take over.

When a nation threatens the vital interests of the United States (like Iran is doing by developing nuclear weapons), it is the duty of the US government to protect the citizens by all means possible. Iran has declared many times that it wishes to destroy Israel and the US, do you think letting it develop a nuclear capability is a good idea? Get real.
