Personally, I believe that the Texans will win somewhere between 6 and 9 games. Look at the schedule, compare it to last years scores versus the same teams. Look at the changes the Texans have made via coaching change, free agency, and the draft. Factor that into the equation, I see a successful season. Yeah, we all define success differently, but, I really believe that upgrades in the defense will pay big dividends. Yes, there's Mario Williams on one end, but, let's no forget we also acquired a helluva defensive tackle via free aency, his name is Anthony Weaver. Toss in veterans, Wali Ranier(who actually may be out for the year), ND Kalu, Sam Cowart, and the guys like Babin, Greenwood, and my steal of the draft, rookie Demeco Ryans, the Texans defensive will account for atleast 4 wins. I base this purely on what we sorely missed on defense last year. Coach Kubiak, and the front office also thought about, so called pretty boy, David Carr. In realigning, drafting, and, acquiring o-line help, believe it or not David Carr will have time to find his high-profile targets as well as the one's who aren't exactly household names. Part of this will be the result of adding vets like, Ephraim Salaam& Mike Flanagan, a couple of rookies who possess athleticism, stregnth, and, the proper technique. The shaking up of the line/ playing the existing players in positions they are built for will also be a great benefit. The receivers are loaded with talent, but, they can't throw the ball to themselves. Finally, Carr is going to throw and complete some balls. I know a lot of folks haven't heard of some of the receiving corps but they are really better than people realize. Andre Johnson, and, Eric Moulds have star power. If you look deeper, you'll see that guys like Dan Anderson(rookie), Derick Armstrong, Kevin Walter, Jeb Putzier, Mark Bruener, and, Donovan Morgan all have what it takes to burn a defense. Some of them are gifted with speed, and, athleticism. Some simply have "hands" and knowledge of the game, to beat their man. Of course everyone in the league wants to see if Houston's running game will come close to being what the Broncs' was ---turning mediocre, and, late round backs into stars and studs. Truth of the matter is that guys like Antoine Smith, and, Chris Taylor are really good backs. I don't expect everyone to know the skinny on these guys, especially Taylor, but, he's a player, he's about 5'10 and 215/220lbs. He has some serious talent, can't wait til preseason. Houstonians, and, Texan fans alike will love this guy. ALL in all, I really think that the Texans are going to surprise a lot of people, including their own fans with the success season. I expect atleast 6 wins, but, I am willing to bet that they'll win 8.

For taking Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. Are people in Texas really dumb or just the Texans, wait, aren't Texans Texas people? Wait... I'm confused.

Actually they might win one by accident.

Tampa Bay was the last team to go winless in 1976.

I have them winning 3. They'll beat Buffalo at home in Week 11, Tennessee in Week 14, and Cleveland in Week 17.

NFL schedule maker wasn't too kind to them, because their first six games (Philadelphia, @Indianapolis, Washington, Miami, @Dallas, Jacksonville) are really brutal.

I think the Texans are going to rebound high, and I think they'll be a cindarella wild card team. I'm a Colts fan, so thats saying alot.

Texans in the AFC.....horrible for them....But the AFC is on the decline now as the NFC teams are stacking players. They wont do well enough this year to make the playoffs...but they wont have the 1st overall pick again.

My magic 8-ball says "Yes".

Heck, they even won a few with that really crappy team they had last season.
