Yes, we should. And we will...just as soon as we kill off those other morons!

Of course. From what I've read and am reading, some scientists worry that we may have tampered a little too much with nature and unwittingly set forces in motion that may be irreversible.

But the only chance for all of us inhabitants of this fragile, delicately-balanced earth is to start concentrating our efforts on cleaning up the air, the oceans and the rivers RIGHT NOW!!!

Otherwise I can visualize the rising oceans someday obliterating Beirut and Tel Aviv much more effectively than the Israelis and Hezbollah are doing, but those extremists are liable to still be trying to kill each other even as they drown. If I lived on Mars, I could laugh at this folly, but unfortunately I'm as doomed as all the rest of us.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, tempers are high because a lot of people want their civilization to be the only game in town.

I personally believe if we invested one tenth of the wealth we invest in war toward feeding people, housing everyone and cleaning up the environmental mess, we could be living in a paradise.

But there are people for whom the most important thing is to be better off than everyone else, and some people who seem to think that their religion gives them a right to abuse people not of their religion.

It's widespread selfishness actually. But it can be changed. More people have to be brave enough to stand up for what's right.

Yes of course we should, it's obvious isn't it? My short list of things we aught to be doing is reforming the worlds governments to be more moderate and responsible,
all human rights equally applied to all humans, social, environmental, and economic justice, restoring the environment, researching and preserving all cultures and languages, research into all topics of inquirey, settlement of the galaxy(I read somewhere it will only take about 15 million years for the human race to settle every habitable world in the galaxy with present day technology)improvement of the media in quality accuracy and universal access into all media outlets in the world(imagine TV with every channel in the world, every movie ever made and access to all previously shown media in the world), fostering the arts in all fields, providing clean drinking water, food, shelter, health care and medicine, education and jobs for the entire human race.

I'm like you....I am still waiting for Gore and other politicians to tell us what they want us to do against global.
They tell it but they have not backed up anything to help prevent it. So where does clean up begin....?
