My son got sliced by accident with a sword,when practicing swords with the teachers son, and the son sliced him by accident(his son did the wrong step). Do u think i should sue?But the teachers a good teacher and nice, and a friend.
Should i sue?

he is in the hospital right now,he needed opereation, and he's been in the jhospital for about 1 week

don't sure. use some common sense. it was an accident. was it costly to get stitches or something? if the teacher wanted to help pay for that, it would be nice and appropriate. why pay a lawyer for something y'all can work out between two adults. it there is no major harm, then get over it.

Sounds like your son engaged in a very dangerous activity. If you allowed your son to take fencing/sword slicing, certainly you signed a release?

Had the accident occurred the other way around, i.e., if your son cut the other boy, would you want to be sued? If you were sued, would you think it would be right and fair and equitable?

If your answer to these questions is "no," then that should probably be the answer to your question as well.

Ask a lawyer. Find out how much you would get from it. If the amount is not enough to lose a friend, then don't do it. Honestly, I would suggest to forget the whole thing.
