How can I fund a charitable foundation?

I would just like to start a charitable organization, but I don't know how to and/ or what I should do and what I need in order to do it. Can you help me?

I'm sorry but the correct word to describe what I'm trying to do is found, not fund. I'm not looking to know how to finance the organization, i'm looking to know how to start one and what I need to do so.
