The age old question. Of course its been said, you can't. The reality is that we just cant make others feel the same way as we do about them! Each person has a right to love who they love and in this case it just may not be you....
If you totally screwed something up and they really do love you...then just be sure to say you are sorry, mean it and step back...they will return if it is right.

As difficult as it is....try to find acceptance and move on.
If you have to work to "win" someone back the prize probably isn't worth winning in the end.

If you've lost them your chances are very slim. Show them lots of respect and understanding of their wishes and needs. You certainly won't get them back by always being in their face and whining and moping. Stand up and take it like a man!
