I remember the excitement of being a teenager and saving my pocket money for an album. Just getting it home and being really careful with it. I just never get that excitement any more with a new CD.
One of my favourite (vinyl) albums as a kid was The Doors LA Woman. I was just stunned as soon as it started. It was brilliant. If I see any Doors albums I just think - COOL!
Grace is a beautiful album. Earlier I was playing Nick Drake in the car - but I never had his albums when younger. Shame on me!

Probably the Black Album by Prince. It was so hard to get hold of I had it on tape for years from a friend but finally tracked it down last year so I actually got the opportunity to discover it again because the tape deck on my separates system has needed fixing for about 3 years so I hadn't listened to the tape for ages.

Wow...first Franz Ferdinand one, Love the Cup by Sons and Daughters, Belle and Sebastian's If Your Feeling Sinister or Up the Bracket by Libertines. I'd love to get that feeling back, I used to get that feeling about gigs too but I haven't to the same extent for a while, but I did recently discover Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division.

U2's The Joshua Tree and How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
INXS's Elegantly Wasted
Red Hot Chili Peppers' Stadium Arcadium (I listened to that CD 3 weeks non stop and still love it but wish it was new again)

I love so much of what 'The Moody Blues' did, but I never bought any of their albums. :-(
I look at the various 'Greatest Hits' albums, but feel that they each miss so much. But I cannot for the life of me decide which of their albums I should buy first.
In terms of re-discovering an album, I've recently been re-discovering 'Quadrophenia' by The Who.
