Yeah, I agree - InuYasha looks hot, but there are people who go as far as choosing what they do with the rest of their lives or seek goals in their lives b/c of a favorite TV character!! For example, there are people my age who today are astronauts because they loved Capt. Kirk as kids, and people who are police officers because they identified with the cops on "Adam-12" and "Dragnet".
As for me, I seem to love everything water-related and I think it's because of a T.V. character from the 1950's who loved water too that I fell in love with as a child. No, I did not choose my occupation because of the character - just my life goals. I realize that I can never be anything like the character I admire, even though I feel he had a strong influence in my growing up.

Yeah it's completely normal. Inuyasha is cute but I wish Mugen from Samurai Champloo was a real person.

If the character's the only reason for you to keep watching the show, I don't see a problem, as long as you don't get ahead of yourself. It's just TV.

Of course it is- I fall in love every week! It's cool as long as you know that in real life their nothing like you think. But hey fantasies are great!
