what are other things i can use for scrapbooking? please help, i am new to this. i'm just trying to preserve my memories, not be extravagant.

I dont think using the paper from the dollar store is a problem. I think the time put into it will effect how the quality of the scrapbook is. I think its good that you are making a scrapbook for memories. By adding stickers, different shapes of paper, designs, writings, colors to the scrapbook it will make it more enjoyable when you grow up and look back at your childhood life! =]

I'm sure Wal-mart has lots of cheap arts and crafts things to use that will give you lots of ideas without spending a lot of money...you should definitely check out that section.

the best kind of construction paper to use is the non-acidic kind, If you are involved thru creative memories definitely use there paper. if not get non acidic kind :) i hope i helped.
