is it ok for me to use construction paper from the Dollar Store for scrapbooking?

what are other things i can use for scrapbooking? please help, i am new to this. i'm just trying to preserve my memories, not be extravagant.

I dont think using the paper from the dollar store is a problem. I think the time put into it will effect how the quality of the scrapbook is. I think its good that you are making a scrapbook for memories.
