I don't think they'll ever find a formula for invisibility, the best that can be achieved is a totally reflective coating which works incredibly well for aircraft, boats, and on people in very cluttered environments like jungle or long grass.
To become truly invisible would require a computer to calculate the colour of a pixel based on what is directly behind it -- tricky with current technology, may be possible one day.

yes and no
There isn't a formula (ie a potion or medicine) that will make people invisible. But there IS a way to do it...
Scientists have found that they can create fields thad bend certain emanations, such as electromagnetic energy - hypothetically including light. They are using them to shield sensitive equipment against radiation by pushing the radiation away from the object rather than cocooning the object.
The article I'm citing below explains it all. Very cool! I just hope they develop a cheap countermeasure to protect against you pervs! :-D

Probably. Given the time and resources man can do almost anything.
And given the number of perverts wanting this... the money should be a problem!

i made the formula invisible so that u all would not get ure grubby paws on it. When i feel the time is right to release it to the general public i will, but in the mean time i use it for my own nefarious purposes.......

I don't think so. Remember that means that light passes through you without changing. That would mean, for example, that your eyes would no longer absorb light, meaning blindness.
