I haven't spoken to my boyfriend since last Tuesday. I haven't been able to call him since he went back to his home town *Since July*. He has all excuses for that. So he calls me. When I last spoke to him he said he has been working 65 hours that week. He's tired... He has the kids... Are those good enough excuses ? He told me the last time we spoke to me that, He loves me...He missed me...He'd call more often and that he always wants to talk to me. So why hasn't he ? Are those good excuses and don't all start saying he has someone else.

The reason I said not to say an old or new fling is cause he hasn't been living there for YEARS. So an old fling is out of the question. He was in the Navy for too long for that and I asked his brother about any new girls. No new girls. I am doubting his loyalty that's why I have asked. Why can't guys just be honest ? Or say you know what it's over not I love you blah blah blah URGH

i bet if you missed his call he would freak out. Just be patient. You dont want to jump to conclusions especially if he is a decent guy. You could end up blowin the whole relationship over just being worried. We all suffer from paranoia of being taken advantage of but the sad thing is that it only eats us up inside while the other person that is causing it has no recollection of any of it. If you dont feel that your being treated right dont wait time is of the essence. You could live the next fifteen years with someone you dont love and then wonder what the heck you did that for. Find hard evidence then make a move. But dont be afraid to question a little. you cant pop a zit if you dont squeeze it. Good luck

As a father of three, one that lives with my ex wife in another state, There is no excuse to not call and at least say I love you, and or I miss you. It takes 10 seconds to do, once a day or even twice. No guilt involved. I am an example of the worst, as I dont call my son nearly as often as I should. I've been caught up in life and could easly go on for ever with excuses, but there is never a GOOD one for not telling someone you love just that. Are the kids yours too?? Try beating his phone off the hook and see if it helps. I dont beleve he has someone else, just a mans ego.... Being a man, I can say that our ego is a *****.

OK there is no one else, poor guy working all those hours and has the kids too, I am sure he can't find the five or ten minutes to get in touch with you.
Honey when I don't call some one that means I am not that interested in talking to them, and if they call me, I think up lame excuses too hoping they get a hint. Good Luck

I think you have to judge based on more than his excuses. What has he done in the past, how often does he keep promises?
Just the fact that you're questioning him does not say much for the guy. He has not established much trust with you - but that does not mean he is lying.
To answer your question directly; sure they are good excuses. The deeper question is - do you need an excuse or do you need more from someone else?

He found another chick when he went home. Maybe an old fling. There's always time to make a call, even if its onle for a minute. He's trying to hide the fact that he's in a relationship to somebody else. Throw his stuff out when he comes back , along with him. In the mean time...go get your freak on!
