I don't know of many and the few that I do know are women.

I love to read. I almost always have a book in my hand or with in reach. i read aobut 200 books a year.
I can put myself into the book. Its my way of getting away from all the stress in everyday life. I can make myself someone esle for a little while.
And yes I am a women but my ex-husband reads just about as much as I do.
I know lots of people who read. Both men and women. And my kids also love books.

Sadly, I don't know many people who read, which is a shame. Most of the people I know either don't read a lot or resent reading. HWoever, there are some people I know who will crack open a book that interests them. Yeah, most of the people I know who read a re women. I don't know any guys who read. What happened to the guys? I think people need to appreciate reading all over again.

Yeah, I know a lot of people who enjoy reading, myself included. Most of the people I know who like reading are women too.
They all have the same complaint though. Not enough time to enjoy books like they once did. Too much competition from TV and computers now.

I don't know many women or men my age that read a lot. The only people I know that read a lot are about half my relatives. Most people I know prefer tv. I think they are definitely missing out! I wish I had more friends my age that read so that I could discuss books, instead of stupid tv shows, with them.There are only a handful of tv shows I watch.I don't think more women that men prefer reading. I think it is pretty even, although I have noticed that women seem to prefer fiction and men nonfiction.

II love reading and so do my children and my husband except for my oldest son but it's understandable that he doesn't lie to read because he has severe dyslexia. My husband reads the most of us. He's addicted to reading.
A lot of our friends enjoy reading and according to the children a lot of their friends also enjoy reading a lot but I can't say that I know more women who love to read than men. I think that it's more fifty-fifty.

On average - 50% of the people I know enjoy reading, including me.

Nearly everyone I know enjoys reading. I do, my husband does, his parents and brother do, lots of my friends do... It depends on the type of people with whom you spend time. All my friends are very intelligent, thus they read. Check out a library if you don't believe many men read. I used to work at one, and I promise you, tons of men read.

Not really...only my sister and my mom...I have not met a man who likes to read yet, and I used to get freaking harassed in school for being an avid reader. I dont think enough people read anymore. I am reading The Master of Ballantre by Robert Louis Stevenson right now!! (not that you asked but I wanted to throw it in)
