Could be power supply, processor fan, cd-rom, or hard drive. I always just kick my old one and it stops. :)

Or open up your box, vacuum the dust and blow some canned air into the fans and such.

While this could be your harddrive, generally speaking when harddrives are failing badly enough to make noise they 1. make a clicking sound, not a buzzing sound, and 2. generally result in system errors. Chances are what's going on is the bearing for one of the fans in your computer is going bad. If you're comfortable working on your own hardware, crack the case open and give a listen, if it's a fan bearing it won't be hard to figure out where the noise is coming from. Replace the fan (aprox $15 part, depending) and you're good to go. If you /aren't/ comfortable with working on your equipment I suggest taking your computer to a local repair shop. Have the guy at the shop plug the computer in on the counter and tell you what's making the noise /before/ they take it into the back room and put it on a workbench, that'll save you some $$$ on technician labour. Turn off computer.
Disconnect fans from the inside.
Turn back on and listen if noise is gone it is the fan.
Turn computer off again.
Replace fans, take one to computer store for proper fit.
