It all depends, I live in CA and everything seems to be a bit more expensive here. Having said that the going rate seems to be somewhere between 7-10 and hr. I have 3 kids all in the age where they need a baby sitter when we leave. We pay 10 per hr. I am willing to pay a bit more when the baby sitter does a good job. So when we call for our baby sitter if there is a competing job they will usually sit for us.

It all depends on where you live, but around her it is $5-6 per hour or $4 per kid per hour. Or you could take the scientific approach and use an inflation calculator and entering what you got paid as a baby sitter and the year and you will get your answer! http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl

i would say anywhere from 4-8 dollars per kid per hour. This all depends on if its a weekend, at night time, how bad the kids are, if they are going to be sleeping or awake the whole time, is your house fun to be at? did you buy good food? how late are you out? All of these factors must be considered

In Bangladesh we pay about 1 U.S. cent per hour and will tip an extra penny if the kids are asleep when we get home.
