There's only one Four Corners (NM, AZ, UT, CO). Don't count that. Instead, somewhere south of Las Vegas along the Colorado River, California, Nevada, and Arizona all touch at a single point. That's what I'm looking for. How many points like that are there in the U.S.?

I count 56 such locations...but I'm probably a couple short. Several of them are in the middle of rivers. And one I didn't count (Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois) is in the middle of Lake Michigan. Also, I did not include international boundaries with Mexican states and Canadian provinces.

Lots of them. Four states or countries touching at a point is very unusual though. The only example I know of where 4 countries touch is Namibia, Botswana, South Africa and Zambia.

The three states of matter; solid, liquid and gas touch at pretty much every shoreline in the country.

There is only the 4 corners. Nothing else connects equally. If you are asked that, its probably a trick question.
