My Gran told me never to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear!!
If other peple can hear your music then it's too loud and can cause damage to your ears/hearing

yes, if used over a prolonged period of time, it cann damage hearing. The human ears weren't designed for that.

apparently if you have an ipod on loud its has more decibles than a jumbo jet taken off, they have advised people to keep the volume low and not to play more than an hour at a time...

not only having it loud but the fact that the headphones is in direct contact with you eardrum puts them under great stress compared to normal "can" style headphones
