I see many questions on here that seem to "bash" the law / law enforcement / law makers. I am curious to see if there are any people out there who feel that they can honestly say that they still have respect for the law. Do you? Can you?

I have respect for the law. I may not always agree with it, but it's the law.

I have great respect for law enforcement. They put themselves on the line to protect everyone else. They do it with (usually) very little pay, horrible work hours, and in often dangerous situations.

I have respect for law makers. Whether I voted for them or not, they were duly elected. If I don't like them, I just make sure I vote for the other guy next time.

My respect for the law is dwindling. Laws are being made more and more to benefit specific groups of people and seem less and less just all the time. The loss of equality before the law will destroy our nation as more and more people lose respect for the law.

Don't confuse respect for the law with respect for the police. They are two completely separate things. Also don't confuse respect for the institution of police and the individual officer. Again, two separate things. You can be a good citizen and not break the law, and still disrespect cops.

I respect the law because I respect my neighbor and wouldn't harm them unless defending myself or family.

I have immense respoect for the law. It is an incredibly important institution and without it we would have little in the way of society.

However there are many laws with which I disagree, and I have broken a few in my life and not felt too bad about it.

He*l no, The hatefull bast*rds . There is not even one cop out that cares about a real crime. It's all about writing tickets to make money. The slightest infraction,it dont matter if a man is trying to raise 3 kids on a small income , he gets a ticket while drugs is being sold right down the street.A child being abused somewhere, aint got time to look for that,to busy writing tickets.Rape,murder,theft...All these things can wait, because there aint no MONEY in um.

we are a country of laws
without that we could be just like most African nations or Haiti
or some of the middle eastern countries
without laws you have one thing CHAOS
which unfortunately is something that some people delight in.

illegals, by circumventing the legal immigration systems create a high level of chaos.
of course they could care less they are here for their own selfish reasons and they really have no interest in contributing to American society

I have respect for the law, even the ones I do not like. But that doesn't necessarily mean I have respect for the lawmakers.
