I have the draft coming up here in 2 weeks and am a rookie at this. I would like someone to help me with what position to pick in what round (2 picks per round) Also I would love for someone to tell me the top 2-3 players in each position. That or a website or magazine I can find that info. I want to prove that I can compete with these guys who have been doing this for years!!! Best answer goes to the best info!!! Thanks in advance for anyone willing to share their knowledge!!

I'm not familiar with this 2 picks per round? but here are my rankings by position:

RB: running backs are your most important position - always grab one in the first round - and make sure you have at least 2 RB in your first 3 picks.

1. Larry Johnson
2. Shaun Alexander
3. Ladanian Tomlinson
4. Clinton Portis
5. Tiki Barber
6. Edgerrin James
7. Steven Jackson
8. Rudi Johnson
9. Lamont Jordan
10. Ronnie Brown
11. Cadillac Williams
12. Willis McGahee

QB - don't take one too early; unles Peyton Manning is still available w/ your 2nd pick. It's ok if you don't have one after 5 picks, there's still plenty available in rounds 6-8

1. Peyton Manning
2. Tom Brady
3. Carson Palmer
4. Mark Bulger
5. Jake Delhomme - sleeper will be available round 7!
6. Matt Hassleback
7. Eli Manning - don't buy all the hype!
8. Drew Bledsoe - TO can do wonders for a QB
9. Donovan McNabb
10. Kurt Warner (so many weapons! but can he stay healthy?

Super Sleeper: Drew Brees - he has better weapons than he ever had in SD; and will need to throw alot because their D is so bad.

WR

It's crowded at the top this year:

1. Chad Johnson
2. Terrell Owens
3. Torry Holt
4. Steve Smith
5. Marvin Harrison
6. Randy Moss
7. Larry Fitzgerald
8. Anquan Boldin (how come everyone forgets about him now?)
9. Reggie Wayne (there's plenty of balls to go 'round in Indy)
10. Chris Chambers
11. Hines Ward
12. Roy Williams - sleeper pick

Stay away from Santana Moss; I don't buy the WAS passing game (did you see them in the playoffs last year?)

TE
1. Gates
2. Shockey
3. Witten
4. Gonzalez
5. Heap
6. Crumpler
7. Mcmichael
8. Vernon Davis - SF - sleeper pick
9. Cooley
10. Heath Miller

other sleepers: Zach Hilton, Joe Klopfenstein, Marcedes Lewis, Leonard Pope

hope this helps.

You need to take into consideration the point structure of the league.

For most leagues, I would draft a premiere running back first, then QB, then WR... DEF... TE... K...

You need to also consider how many players at each position play each week.

If you are allowed two RBs... take 2 premiere RBs first... Then maybe a QB (or 2)and WR then QB (if you are allowed to play 2) and WR... then DEF and TE... K....

Also, consider collateral for later trades, and bench players for when your start QB has a bye week. Consider the bye weeks of the teams your players belong to.

Here's a good place to start...

YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER THE SETTINGS (POINTS, ROSTER SETUP) OF YOUR LEAGUE

Take as many of these guys as you can...
Larry Johnson, Ladanian Thomlinson, Shaun Alexander, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Bledsoe(?), Steve Smith, Chad Johnson, Terrell Owens...

Those are my top 3 RB, QB, and WR

The third QB is tough... Eli Manning, Donovan Mcnabb, Matt Hasselback

Here i my opinion.
QB-Peyton Manning...Manning shows that he is consecutive with his stats and he didn't throw 49 TD'S this year but he is really good. Matt Hasselback.. Hasselback has a great team and a good line he was the best QB in the NFC he is way under rated.

RB-L.J he had 9 consecutive games with over 100 yds, 20 TDS and didn't even start the whole season. L.T-HE CAN RUN THROW AND CATCH GREAT PICK.

WR- Marvin Harrison- Peyton Manning QB Steve Smith ..Jake Dellhomme QB he is also under rated.

If in the 6th or 7th or earlier round pick up Drew Brees no one really picks him up that early. he is great he has Joe Horn Donte Stallworth and deuce mcallister and reggie bush
