Did you ever think of possibly naming them after their grandparents or great-grandparents? Having a name in the family passed down is a great honour. If it isn't a name of today's standards where the child won't be picked on in school, you can always give him a nick-name to be used. Because they are twins, doesn't mean their names have to match. It is the meaning BEHIND the name you should always remember!

Phil and Lil. I really dont know. It all depends on your personal taste. If you cant figure it out, name them at birth, looks always trigger something, even in twins there are some real differences.
But i have enough trouble trying to name a single child let alone twins.

For the Love of GOD Don't make them Rhyme!! I had a friend in High school who named her twin boys Tobias and Jobias, Toby and Joby for short. That is not cool! I think that you should pick a boy's name and a girl's name that you like and call it good. I don't think that there should be any pressure to make them rhyme or make them similar to each other like Shaun and Shauna. It's mean to do that to them. Think of when they are in school, kids are cruel. If it sounds like a horrible chant don't do it!

How about something more traditional, such as Kenneth and Katherine. Kenny and Katie for short. This gives you the same first letter without having them rhyme.
