Notre Dame, the same as every year. They had no wins against Top 20 teams last season, no defense and everyone has them in the top five

Yeah I'd go with Louisville and Michigan. But Southern Cal should be mentioned too. I know you don't want to hear that since you are one of the most zealous Condom supporters on the net. But all pre-season the rest of us had to listen to how dominating the SC defense was going to be and how awesome the offense would be. Currently the big bad defense isn't even in the top 25. And the offense is ranked at 13th. And their only "quality win" over Nebraska isn't so bright after what Ball State did against the Huskers this weekend. All we heard was how SC went on the road and dominated UN on their fearsome home field. And Ball State puts up almost as much as the mighty Condoms. Tric792 what have you been watching? If anything LSU has been underrated. What other top 5 team has played and beaten two top 25 teams?

West Virginia. I'm sorry to all you Mountaineer fans out there, I was certainly pulling for WVU when they upset Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, but I just don't think they're THAT good. The problem is, they don't face any real challenges in their schedule except for Louisville. I mean, look at this thing! Their non-conference slate is Marshall, I-AA Eastern Washington, Maryland, East Carolina, Mississippi St. Their four I-A non-con opponents went 17-27 last year and predictably, none of them made it a bowl game. After that, it's on to another challenging Big East schedule. Aside from Louisville, WVU beat its other six Big East opponents by a combined score 171-46. While some might take this domination as a sign of West Virginia's prowess, to me it just signals what a weak conference they're playing in. It's a conference where Pitt can go 1-3 non-con, with their only win over a I-AA school, and still be a win away from being bowl eligible. A conference where Rutgers can lose to Big Ten doormat, Illinois (who went 0-8 in conference play last year), get pasted by Louisville, 56-5, and still finish third in the conference. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I love WVU and all, but I think that by playing in the Big East they have garnered a vastly over-inflated perception of themselves. Beating Georgia was great and all, but I don't believe that West Virginia is national championship caliber in 2006. Unfortunately, as their flimsy schedule indicates, 12-0 is a very real possibility.
Besides WVU, I think that Texas, sans Vince Young and Cedric Brown, is going to be a lot worse off than people think. Granted, now that OU's lost Quinn and Bomar, that knocks the Sooners down a couple of rungs, but I still think that Tech and A&M will rise up to the challenge, as well as a new-look Colorado team. I certainly don't expect to see Texas back in the BCS, despite all the post-Rose Bowl euphoria and hoopla still surrounding them.

Oklahoma no doubt. News just hit locally that their starting QB is kicked off the team along with a starting offensive lineman. Local radio says more suspensions could follow over the next few weeks as the investigation continues into NCAA violations by the players. OU has been picked by many to win the national championship. With a brand new QB and a hit to an already week offensive line they are definitely overrated.

USC has lost it's core. No White, Justice, Bush, Leinart, etc. With Mark Sanchez most likely starting at QB, and never having had a collegiate snap, good luck trojans, especially when the Irish come in to town.
