why so many disk for the PC game battle for middle earth?

my brother in law got the pc game battle for middle earth but it came with 4or 5 diusk but he only uses one even with the install waht are the 4 for when he puts the others in the comp it tells him to insert disk 1

like i said he doesn't use any of the others to install the game just the frist disk

pc disks dont hold much data, compared to game related disks like a playstation. new games need more data to store so, its just life, unfortunately you have to deal with them.
