Yes, she'll be fine, but remember that Bettas don't like larger aquariums - anything over 3 gallons and she'll feel exposed and uncomfortable. If you have a larger tank, put in some good hiding places, like plant life or ceramic boats.
EDIT: in my experience, female bettas are not too territorial, only the males are, for those who are wondering.

Yes you can put female Betta's with community tropical fish.
Female Betta's do well with swordtails, platties, quppies, zebra danios, Mid size tetras and barbs. Female Betta seem to run on the small size in my area about 3/4 to an 1 1/2 inch's. When put
fish together size does matter a 1/2 inch neon tetra is a snack for a 2 inch swordtail. You can also kept more than one female Betta in a tank if there are hiding places(like plants and rocks). .

Female Betta? Yes, you can put the females with other tropical fish, its the males you have to keep watching. I put my male betta with my tropicals and he ended up being bullied. But my female was fine, nothing happened

We keep our female bettas in a tank with several other tropical fish. Just make sure that the other fish are big enough to not be eaten. We have a guppy and some sailfin mollies in with our two girls.

contrary to popular belief, you can place a female beta into an aquarium with tropical fish. but before you do there are a few things you need to consider- you need to keep the temperature at a warm enough temp for the tropical, yet low enough heat for the beta. around 73-75 degrees is the best. also, you must consider what breed of tropicals you plan on intermingling your female beta with, if the others are of an aggressive breed, than you absolutly must not put the female beta in along with them because they will kill her. now, if they are of a passive breed and non territorial, then it is fine. many people believe that the females are aggressive, however they are mistaken. the male betas are, and can not be placed with other fish. the females are quite passive., and are suitable to intermingle with most passive breeds of fish.
another thing you need to consider is the tank size. if you are putting her into a relatively large tanks, you need to be sure that you place plenty of caves, fish homes, and vegitation ( fake or real) for her to hide in and get some time to herself when she is overwhelmed by her eniroment.

Yes, aslong as the fish are peaceful community tropicals. Gouramis are related to bettas and they do not get along. I had a 30 gallon with a sorority of 9 female bettas, i added a pearl gourami and by morning all of my girls were dead. Gouramis always win.

Yes. BUT you want to keep an eye on them. Although not nearly as territorial as male bettas, they are still aggressive fish. It will depend on the personality of the particular betta. I had one I could put in the tank and it wouldn't bother anybody (tank contained guppies, skirted tetras, one redfin shark, pleco, cory cat, swordtail, etc.) I had another, though, that decided it was offended by the skirted tetras fins. I had to put her in a bowl. Put her in with your other dudes and watch carefully. If any of your fish start acting weird and trying to die, she might be attacking them and stressing them out. Or if she's chasing/nipping. Good luck!

its really trial and error. although the females r less aggressive, make sure none of the other fish have long, feathery fins as does a male betta. try it and c what reaction u get. if she swims around in a small corner of the tank b careful, she might attack.
it also depends on the other aggressiveness of the other fish and if its a community tank. gl

I have. I had 3 together in a 29 gallon and they did fine. I have read about other people doing this and it seems that it can be the personality of the individual fish. Some are OK and others get nipped at.

Nope. They are aggressive and will fight with the other fish. Besides, tropical fish are most frequently saltwater fish, and bettas are freshwater.
