I put it on silence or vibrate and if it does ring loud for some reason I always shut off the ringer right away because I wouldn't like it if someone else let their phone ring uncontrollably around me!

My ringtone is "Dance, Dance" by Fall Out Boy, so once my phone goes off, I command full attention (and annoyed glares) of the entire room.
It went off once at a show callback for the musical ANYTHING GOES. There were people up onstage doing a cold reading for the love scene and then DANCE DANCE!
I guess it broke the tension up there (the two actors were fortunate their kiss was delayed) but I've kept in on vibrate ever since!

No. I keep mine on vibrate, anyway, so nobody gets disturbed.
